Spotcrime goes Multi-national

We've made some changes and as a result Spotcrime is much better at finding your default primary location after you have signed up. Hopefully, if you set your country and your postcode/zipcode correctly, Spotcrime should be smart enough to place you, at least roughly, at the right place on the map. The level of granularity we can achieve is down to the depth of detail available to use, with regards to geo-coding your postcode. Remember, no other user sees this postcode or country code.

E-crime

It's clearly not as visible as crime on the streets, or crime as 'ordinary' mugging or house-breakin, but crime it's all the same. Some might say that we're more at risk from e-crime, phishing scams, identity theft, etc, than the 'traditional' crimes, and this BBC article illustrates the problems and expresses the following view (by way of the title): "Government 'failing on e-crime'" It's an interesting read and also provides numerous links that should be of use to most of us who utilise the internet extensively.
